We are moving towards the summer months and all the great summer fruits will be out including Honeydew Melons.
These great tasting melons are packed full of lots of nutrition that keep your body healthy and full of vitality.
Originally from Europe and Africa these melons have grown popularity in the last few decades.
Growing – Honeydews grow in warm weather areas including California, Europe, all over the states… and in many places across the globe.
B Vitamins – Honeydew melons have lots of B 6, and other B vitamins that provide energy and vitality. It’s important for mood enhancement, great sleep, and for cardiovascular health.
Vitamin A – Honeydew Melons also contain Vitamin A a powerful antioxidant that prevents disease and helps to prevent DNA damage.
Vitamin C – Honeydews have lots of Vitamin C a powerful antioxidant that slows the aging process and helps to prevent colds, flues, and cardiovascular disease, strokes, and even cancer. One cup of Honeydew provides 1/2 the recommended daily allowance of Vitamin C.
Fat Free – Honeydew Melons are complete fat free.
Cholesterol Free – Honeydew Melons are also cholesterol free.

I remember as a kid going with my father to get a pickup load of Honeydew Melons. They used to feed cattle the melons that were too large, too small, and those that were not perfect, and the farmers would give them to us free… but now I grow them in my backyard.
