Right now we have an epidemic of kidney disease going on in the world. Kidney disease has increased 6 fold in the last few years, and thus we need to teach people how to prevent kidney disease and stop the suffering. Here are 6 simple ways we can decrease the likelihood of coming down with kidney disease.
Drop the Soda Bottle – Soft Drinks have been shown to contain lots of carbonic acid and phosphoric acid. And studies show that drinking just 2 sodas weekly increases a person chance of coming down with kidney disease by 50%. – Wow that’s amazing! And anything such as soda that will take a copper penny and make it shine like it was new, that can’t be good for the body.
Stop Using Over the Counter Medications – Taking any kind of over the counter medications such as pain killers, antacids, allergy pills and even prescription drugs can be hazardous for kidney health. Almost all of them kill kidney tissue and thus it’s important to let them go and find herbal alternatives which are nourishing for the body. Anything that is not natural should not be consumed, be it over the counter drugs, food additives, food colors, preservatives and anything else… it’s all terrible for our kidneys.
Eat Organic and Save Your Kidneys – It’s vital that we eat organic food because all other food in our markets are full of toxic chemicals that are killing our kidneys. Take for instance one regular potato contains up to 6 cancer causing chemicals, 12 hormone disrupting chemicals and 10 other disease causing chemicals. None of this is good for our kidneys, we need unadulterated wholesome food which will do the body good. Food that is chemical free and full of life giving nutrients that help our kidneys to thrive.
Forget the Meat – Studies show that eating any kind of animal protein puts a strain on our kidneys and thus eventually we end up with kidney disease. Eating a plant based diet contains about 5 or 6% protein which is exactly what we need to thrive and feel great. And it’s been shown that animal protein of any kind be it eggs, milk, cheese, chicken, lamb, beef, turkey, fish, seafood or anything else causes an acidic change in our bodies and thus that acid causes inflammation. And everyone knows that the first step towards disease is inflammation. And in cultures around the world that live to be over 100 years old, all most all of them eat a plant based diet.
Enjoy Organic Green Juices – Green juices are nourishing for the kidneys. Drinking 2 to 5 glasses of organic kale, turnip greens, lettuce greens, celery greens, parsley or any other organic green daily is very healing and nourishing for the kidneys.
Drink Lots of Water and Ditch the Salt Shaker – Drinking water is one of the most important ways to keep our kidneys healthy and functioning correctly. And lots of people have an aversion to drinking water and thus only drink caffeinated drinks and soda. Caffeine is dehydrating and thus puts a strain on our kidneys so it’s better to drink go old fashion clean healthy fresh water. Drinking at least 8 glasses of water daily is the gold standard. And if we stop using salt like it was going out of style we could save our kidneys. Salt is terrible for our kidneys and it’s also hazardous to our cardiovascular system. In fact I had a great friend who always used a lot of salt. And he refused to drink water and so he died of a heart attack because he blood became so thick that it was hard for his heart to push his blood through his system.
This is just the tip of the iceberg, but if a person uses these 6 tips listed here they can greatly decrease their possibility of coming down with kidney disease.
