“A Wonderful DIY Formula that Really Works for Lowering and Stabilizing Blood Sugar”
Using only what we have around the house or what we can find at the grocery store we can lower and stabilize blood sugar even better than all those prescription medications that have lots of terrible side effects. And this formula is very inexpensive and thus we save money… and saving money is always good.
4 – Parts Ground Organic Sage
3 – Parts Ground Organic Cumin
2 – Parts Ground Organic Fenugreek
1 – Part Ground Organic Cinnamon
Mixing – Mix all of these ground organic herbs together and place in vegan gelatin capsules. Or the powder can be taken alone without capsules. If taking the powder alone mix the powder with a little organic green juice and then drink… it makes the spices go down easier.
Storage – Store the mixed herbs as capsules or as a powder in a glass or plastic jar with a tight fitting lid in a cool dark place.
Dose – Take 2 to 6 – 400 mg capsules two to four times a day, or a 1/2 to 1 teaspoon two to four times a day. Most people take these herbs just in the AM and PM but they can be taken more often.
Check Your Blood Sugar – Take the herbs and a 1/2 hour later check your blood sugar to see if you need more or less of this formula. And also check in with your body, your body has great wisdom… listen to what you are feeling.
Sage – Studies at the University of Minho Portugal showed that sage lowers fasting glucose levels, and contains substances that works just as well as metformin (a common oral diabetes medication). And using sage as a food additive or spice might prevent diabetes all together. Normal dose for sage is usually from 250 mg to 1,500 mg daily. And sage can also be added to our food as a daily regiment to lower and stabilize blood sugar.
Cumin – Cumin helps with diabetes by reducing the amount of glucose pass on in the urine. It also helps balance blood sugar and prevents hypoglycemia. Cumin makes our pancreas create more insulin and it makes our tissues more sensitive to insulin thus lowering blood sugar in general. And cumin contains thymoquinone which helps lower blood sugar. Plus with people with diabetes it can prevent the formation of cataracts and help prevent damage to our kidneys and the liver. Normal dose for sage is from 250 mg to up to 2,000 mg daily, or more, it’s a spice and a food so the body seeds cumin as a good food.
Fenugreek – Fenugreek contains a powerful amino acid (4-hydroxyisoleucine) that helps the pancreas produce more insulin and reduces insulin resistance. Fenugreek also contains lots of fiber that slows the breakdown and absorption of sugar into the system thus helping to control blood sugar spikes. Most people take 1000 mgs per day – 500 mgs in the morning and 500 mgs in the evening to control blood sugar levels. But some people also take up to 2000 mgs AM and PM. And taking fenugreek daily can reduce the risk of coming down with diabetes.
Cinnamon – Cinnamon is a powerful blood sugar lowering agent and most of all a good stabilizing agent for blood sugar. Studies show that cinnamon can lower blood sugar as much as 30% and cinnamon also lowers cholesterol and trigs at the same time. Cinnamon contains proanthocyanidin which helps to keep fat from interfering with insulin uptake. Most people take taking from 250 mg to 1,500 mg daily of cinnamon to lower and stabilize their blood sugar.
These spices really work wonders for lowering and stabilizing blood sugar and at the same time they also work great for lower cholesterol and triglycerides.
